The Toki Ponist on the Mountain main page

Why should we follow you?

The short answer is: don't! The longer answer is: do not.

The short answer is: don’t! The longer answer is: do not. Nobody should be a follower because followers make someone a leader. And leaders have responsibilities while followers have mostly loyalty and feel less urgency for responsibilities. There are plenty of mountains that can support their own guru.

The sad thing of gurus is that they all say that they don’t want any followers but they all do. And they do teach although they feign a lack of contentment. In their infinite wisdom they put the responsibility of not being followed at the follower who had by definition let go of that responsibility. It is the guru who must insist on short bursts of encounters and prevent avid followings to aggregate.
